Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer/Verification Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer/Verification Engineer to establish and lead quality engineering practices across the software development lifecycle. This role will define scalable QA processes, build and evolve test automation, and partner with cross-functional Agile teams to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software products.

The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on testing and automation experience with the ability to influence engineering practices, mentor team members, define quality metrics, and guide release-readiness decisions.

• Define and own the QA strategy, quality roadmap, processes, standards, and operating model.
• Build and implement a formal QA process from the ground up, covering manual and automated testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, UX, DevOps, and other stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and validate requirements.
• Develop test strategies, test plans, estimates, traceability, and detailed test cases for functional and non-functional testing.
• Design, implement, maintain, and scale automated test frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and promote continuous testing practices.
• Perform and guide functional, exploratory, regression, integration, end-to-end, API, mobile, accessibility, compatibility and performance testing.
• Apply risk-based testing to prioritize coverage based on customer impact, technical risk, and release scope.
• Lead user acceptance testing and support release-readiness and go/no-go decisions.
• Define and monitor quality metrics such as automation coverage, escaped defects, defect trends, regression duration, and release quality.
• Manage defects through their full lifecycle and communicate quality risks, status, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Mentor QA engineers, provide technical guidance, and help build a high-performing quality engineering team.
• Drive continuous improvement and advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance or quality engineering.
• Proven experience creating a software quality process and QA strategy from scratch.
• Experience building, mentoring, or helping scale a software quality team.
• Strong experience designing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and requirements traceability.
• Hands-on experience with Application Programming Interface (API) testing using tools such as Postman and automated Application Programming Interface (API) testing frameworks.
• Experience designing or extending automated test frameworks and writing automated tests.
• Experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent.
• Experience integrating automated tests into Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with functional, exploratory, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with performance, accessibility, mobile, cross-browser, and compatibility testing.
• Experience leading user acceptance testing and supporting release decisions.
• Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Intermediate English proficiency (B2 or higher), with the ability to participate in technical discussions with international teams.

• International Software Testing Qualification Board  (ISTQB) Foundation Level certification or higher.
• Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Xray, or Zephyr.
• Experience testing REST or GraphQL Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and microservices.
• Exposure to reliability, resilience, or scalability testing.
