Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Engineer to lead the design, development, and documentation of complex mechanical systems and components. In this role, you will transform conceptual designs into precise 3D models and 2D technical drawings, ensuring full compliance with manufacturing standards (GD&T) and product lifecycle requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop robust 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX), ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Apply advanced GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to control critical dimensions and ensure functional fit and tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Manage and maintain product lifecycle data within PLM/PDM systems.
  • Lead project/task management for design iterations, ensuring milestones are met from prototype to mass production.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve design challenges and optimize designs for assembly (DFMA).
  • Support prototype builds by providing necessary tooling models and coordinating with the engineering manager to verify design intent.
  • Create comprehensive technical packages for suppliers, including material specifications and finishing requirements.

Required

  •  5+ years of professional experience in an Engineering Environment. (R&D or Manufacturing).
  • Project Management and Data Analysis experience.
  • Experience in mechanical design, drafting, and 3D modeling within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical Engineering  or related field.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA V5/V6 or related 3D Modeling/CAD Software.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to provide coaching and training to junior team members.
  • Critical thinker with the ability to troubleshoot system malfunctions and propose thermal or mechanical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Advanced English level (C1 or equivalent)

Desired

  • Experience or knowledge in electromechanical schematics and or electronics.
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and Y14.24 drafting standards.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience in the Retail fixture design industry or heavy machinery.
  • Willingness to travel, USA Visa.
