Company Overview

Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA. With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners—including engineers, operations, finance, procurement, sales, logistics, manufacturing, IT/security, and legal—to design and implement effective compliance programs and tools that support current and future business opportunities. At Avionyx, the most valued traits are a positive attitude, strong work ethic, adaptability, and the ability to self-manage and learn quickly. Forward-thinking and comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are essential for this role. The ideal candidate also will have practical knowledge and experience in contracting, compliance frameworks, and audits.

  • Ensure contractual requirements, including flow-downs, are properly identified, understood, and executed across departments and vendors.
  • Support restricted party screening of customers, suppliers, and partners; test and enhance tools to improve automation and efficiency.
  • Prepare export licenses, authorizations, and government filings.
  • Conduct compliance audits, risk assessments, and investigations to ensure regulatory compliance, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Deliver targeted training and awareness programs to embed compliance culture across the organization aligned with organizational growth and business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to implement streamlined audit programs, enhance access controls, and determine compliance thresholds.
  • Proactively identify compliance risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Required
