Job Overview

Avionyx is searching for a Learning Management System Administrator to manage, enhance, and maintain Joby Aviation’s newly implemented Totara LMS. This is a tremendous opportunity to take strategic ownership of Joby’s learning technology and support training for the entire business. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an excellent understanding of how to manage technology projects and implement bespoke learning solutions in partnership with the training team. This job is based out of our San Jose, Costa Rica location.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the administrator for Joby’s Totara learning management system
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) across departments to analyze specific training needs around regulatory requirements in aviation, manufacturing, and workplace safety, and implement learning technology solutions
  • Gather and document learning technology requirements from a variety of stakeholders
  • Write system specification documents to guide learning technology configuration and custom development
  • Collaborate with IT, People, and other stakeholders to ensure the integration and interoperability of learning technology with other business systems
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure that the learning technology meets quality standards
  • Evaluate, test, and validate the effectiveness of learning technology
  • Provide technical support and training for users
  • Manage learning technology projects and implementations
  • Perform data entry and ongoing system administration tasks, such as updating content, user management, reporting, and system backups

Required

  • 3+ years of experience as a learning management system administrator, or related experience
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with SMEs, stakeholders, and other team members
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting technical specification documents

Desired

  • Experience scoping and implementing technology enhancements
  • Experience with system integrations, such as API development and data exchange between systems
  • Familiarity with eLearning principles, instructional design, and content development
  • Basic knowledge of modern training methods and techniques in various learning environments, including blended learning, online, in-person, synchronous and asynchronous delivery
  • Basic knowledge of databases and software development
