Graphics Software Engineer

Avionyx is searching for a Graphics Software Engineer. This engineer will be responsible for overseeing all projects related to graphics and technologies like OpenGL or Vulkan, as well as leading and training a team that specializes in this area.

 

The Graphics Software Engineer will participate in the following activities:

 

• Requirements Analysis
• Driver Architecture Creation
• Driver Development
• Code Review Participation
• Driver Testing
• Code Refinement
• Driver Documentation

• Bachelor/Licentiate Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering

• Experience with, and working knowledge of the Khronos-sponsored Vulkan driver on modern GPUs
• GPU Shader Compilers
• Shade Pipelines) for modern GPUs is an absolute requirement. 
• Experience with, and working knowledge of Khronos-sponsored OpenGL graphics libraries
• OpenGL SC 1.0.1, SC 2.0
• SPIR-V constructs
• GLSL programming
• Excellent technical reading and interpretation skills
• Strong written and verbal English skills

 

• Experience with OpenCL, OpenCV, and Video CODECs is desired
• Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (Wind River VxWorks, Green Hills Integrity, and DDC-I DEOS is desired
• Experience with safety critical standards (DO-178, ED-12) including multi-threaded processes and partitioning is desired
